An eclectic musician with repertoire ranging a great variety of genres, Scottish Soprano Lauren McKinney is a vibrant & ever-evolving musician at the beginnings of her career.

Having performed in international venues including London’s Royal Albert Hall and New York’s Carnegie Hall, under the baton of some of the world’s most acclaimed conductors, including Donald Runnicles and Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Lauren has developed a reputation as a formidable vocal powerhouse, comfortable in repertoire ranging from Handel and Mozart to Strauss and Jake Heggie. Operatic roles include Despina (Cosi Fan Tutte) and Mrs Charlton in the UK Stage Premiere of Jake Heggie’s Dead Man Walking.

In 2023, after a short career break, Lauren is returned to performance, with a praised role as Lauretta in Fife Opera’s production of Puccini’s Gianni Schicci. She continued with the company, performing the role of Second Woman (Dido & Aneas) in the 2024 season.
